Today I head out for Austria and Germany! Can’t wait. Bags are (nearly) packed, reading material has been purchased and snacks are in tow. All done…last night. So much for weekend prep. Last-minute packing habits die hard. In any case, I’m now ready to eat Bavarian pastries and see some castles! Have any recs for Vienna, Munich, Bavaria area or Berlin? Do share.

P.S. One thing I did accomplish this weekend is raise a glass to my friend Katie, who just launched a stylish new parenting site for cool moms. Have you said “hello” to Mother, yet? It’s inspiring for the non-mamas too. My favorite piece so far — this beautiful story.
