I went to La Boutique recently to meet and greet with French jewelry designer Shourouk and see her sparkly creations. The pieces were glimmery and beautiful, but add to that her French accent and sweet personality and I was charmed.
Turns out she loves India and her collection is influenced by rajas (royalty). She visits a few times a year since a lot of her manufacturing takes place there. Not going to lie, she definitely knows more about India than I do (I’ve only been there twice in my life!), but it was a lively chat nonetheless. Oy — out-Indianed by a French woman, but c’est la vie.
